Can Galderic comes from a traditional country house from Catalonia’s XVII century in Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana. It was built for the cultivation of cereals, vineyards and cattle farming.
The house’s name comes from the name of one of the owners: Galderic (patron saint of Catalan peasant farmers until 1714) and from Roselló.
In the XIX century, the cereals, vineyards and cattle were replaced for hazelnuts, olive trees and vineyards.
For generations, our family has done the farming of hazelnuts and has worked with more or less intensity depending on the needs, year after year. All sunny afternoons of September our hands had collected the ripe fruit.
